Christmas is a symbol of family, closeness, and sharing. For many people, however, it is also a time of loneliness, silence, and feeling forgotten. That is why the project Christmas Eve Dinner for Isolated Seniors and People Experiencing Homelessness was created — an initiative that has been bringing light to those who need it most for several years now.

When a Warm Meal Means More Than Just Dinner

This year, we are once again preparing a warm Christmas Eve dinner for 377 clients — seniors and people experiencing homelessness from shelters and humanitarian centers in Prague. But this is not just about food.

For many, it is:

• the first festive dinner in many years,

• a rare moment to sit at a table among others,

• a reminder that someone is thinking of them.

Every bowl of soup, every smile, and every kind word helps create an atmosphere that restores dignity, humanity, and hope.

Loneliness Should Have No Place at the Christmas Table

Loneliness among seniors and people without a home is a quiet yet very real problem. During the Christmas season, it often becomes even more painful. While most of us spend Christmas Eve surrounded by family, thousands of people remain alone — without a home, without loved ones, and without a sense of safety.

Our goal is to create a space where:

• no one is invisible,

• everyone is welcomed with respect,

• Christmas Eve regains its human and dignified meaning.
